never close at midday. In summer months and in any month with active tourism in general, the closing hours may stretch until 22,00/22,30 p.m.

- Restaurants offer varied opening and closing hours, though as an unofficial rule, they are open from 13,30 to 15,30 for lunch and from 20,30 to 23,00/23,30 for supper. In "Fallas" (probably the most important and colourful local holiday) and in summer, these working hours are flexible, above all in bars with terraces in the street.

- Bars open all day and close well into midnight. In summer, we can find bars open until 3,00 or 4,00 a.m. There are pubs with license to be open until dawn, whether in summer or in winter.

- Pharmacies usually open from 9,30 a.m. to 14,00 p.m. and from 16,30 p.m. to 20.00 p.m.. There are, besides, some pharmacies which remain open out of these hours in case of emergencies. All pharmacies must give a list with the pharmacies open out of the normal hours and their location.
